There are Mini Soccer holiday camps in Crewe held at Shavington Leisure Centre, with sessions running from 9.30am until 3.30pm. There is also the option for parents and carers to take advantage of extended care facilities, allowing them to leave their youngsters up until 6pm.
This can be a real bonus for working parents and for those who want to know that their children are having as much fun as possible during their break from school.
Fun is obviously high on the agenda but so is learning new skills – both physical and interpersonal – and making new friends. The camps are aimed at all children between four and 12, regardless as to whether they are experienced little footballers or simply want to try out their skills for the very first time.
All of the sessions are run by qualified coaches who are experienced in working with young people of all ages and abilities. Days are filled with matches, tournaments, games and skills training and youngsters are split into ability and age-appropriate groups to ensure that they make the most of the experience.
Children leave the sessions with more confidence in their footballing abilities – and in themselves. Their communication skills are often bolstered, as are their co-ordination, balance, and team-working prowess.
